BLAGOEVGRAD CITY OVERVIEW:

Blagoevgrad  city is located in southwestern Bulgaria. Blagoevgrad population is about 70 thousand as of 2011. The city lies on the banks of the Blagoevgradska Bistritsa River.
Blagoevgrad is home of two universities:

• The South-West University "Neofit Rilski"
• The American University in Bulgaria - known as one of the best and most prestigious universities in Bulgaria. 

THINGS TO DO IN BLAGOEVGRAD CITY:

The city of Blagoevgrad offers variety of indoor and outdoor things to do. As we mentioned above, the city has 2 universities making it a student city which is not only great for outdoor activities, but also for clubbing, and hanging out. 
Here are just a few things that you can do when you visit Blagoevgrad:

• Go skiing in Bansko during the winter

Bansko is a popular ski resort not only in Bulgaria, but also in Europe. Lots of expats and locals from all parts of Bulgaria come to ski during the winter season. The resort offers so many activities that can satisfy any taste and wants.

• Aqua park Blagoevgrad

Great place to hang out and have some fun! The Aqua park working hours are from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

• Visit the local museums
